Star Mountain Vapor

Star Mountain Vapor is a vape shop located in El Paso TX, but they also have an online store. From their website the e-liquid section states "Our E-Liquids have been pre-steeped to ensure that you always get consistent flavor. Our E-liquids are made in small batches for peak flavor. Ingredients include food grade flavor along with food grade vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol."  They sell both e-liquids and hardware on the site.

The website is easy to navigate, but some of the e-liquids didn't have descriptions. Two of the three flavors I tried had no description.

The three flavors I received had a born on date of 12/1/14 so I let them steep for 10 days because when I tried them right out of the mail they had little to no flavor and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt even though the site states they are pre-steeped.

I tried these at 6mg nic and the pg/vg ratio wasn't listed anywhere on the site. *I went back through my email and I requested 50/50 blend for these.  But when buying from website there is no option to choose pg/vg level and the house pg/vg level isn't stated on the site nor do they mark this information on the bottles.

Berry Crunch

"Have a sugary spoonful of cereal with our Berry Crunch liquid. Savor the classic and heart-warming taste of a milky bowl of cereal with every hit. Treat yourself and your electronic cigarette to this soon-to-be-favorite e-liquid."

I get the flavor of the cereal with hints of the berry every once in a while. If the description means this is supposed to taste like I'm eating the cereal with milk.. it's wrong. I get no milky or creamy taste and honestly it tastes more like stale cereal than a "heart-warming taste of a milky bowl of cereal".  It is also very harsh on the inhale with a strong  throat hit.  On exhale I get no flavor at all. The throat hit and harshness left my throat feeling sore. I love crunch berry cereal so this was a disappointment.

Blue Ice

Description: None

Being that the website didn't have a description for this one, I didn't really know what to expect but figured it would be some type of blueberry menthol or something similar.  The "ice" part is peppermint. It's gives me the nice cooling sensation. I'm not sure what the "blue" part of the equation is.. it's not blueberry. I couldn't figure it out, even after trying it over a few days. I primarily got the peppermint thankfully. On exhale - same as the first flavor - nothing.  It's not a bad flavor, just not for me.

Again, the throat hit is very strong and harsh for this being a 6mg nic. I'm not used to that at all. It reminds me of when I first started vaping and bought an 18mg 80/20 pg/vg mix by accident.

Island Razz

Description: None-but picture of raspberry

I thought maybe since the name was "island razz" it would be some kind of tropical raspberry flavor. Island Razz is raspberry, just raspberry, no island. On inhale I get the very light flavor of raspberry. On exhale, like the others I can't really taste anything. It's like the flavor disappears once you inhale which is weird, but that's what I experienced with all three flavors. This one was the best out of the bunch, which isn't saying much, but it was refreshing to find one out of the three that wasn't harsh and didn't kill my throat every inhale.

Star Mountain Vapor's e-liquids are only available in 10ml sized hard plastic bottles. They are priced at $8 for one, then 2/$15, 3/$20.  I went to the site and put three flavors in my cart and they charged $5.99 shipping and $1.65 tax based on my state. Which is weird because I've never had to pay tax before. So all in all I would have paid $27.64 for 30ml of e-liquid.

All the flavors I tried were very under-flavored, and had no complexity at all. Two of the three flavors were extremely harsh and had very strong throat hits for it being a 6mg nicotine.

I personally think they are way over-priced for the quality of the e-liquids I received. But as they say, everyone tastes and experiences are different.   You may try them and love them.  I can only tell you what I experienced.
