    Finding out the cause of how Butch Trucks passed away broke my heart. The mental anguish and pain he must have been suffering through on a daily basis while bringing so many joy instantly brings a tear to my eye. I suffer with depression and over my lifetime a shit ton of problems. I do not pretend to understand Butch's pain, I only mention it because its 2017 and there is still a stigma around mental illness. Get over it and shine some empathy on a brother or a friend. I am glad Butch finally has peace.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announces monster line-up for 2017

Finally a festival lineup to get excited about and start saving money to attend. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, returns  April 28 – May 7.  The huge and impressive lineup for Jazz Fest 2017 has been released. Stevie Wonder, Tom Petty and Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds are Headlining but the talent is everywhere.

Delfest 2017 announces a promising  initial Line-Up including Trey Anastasio Band. 

 

    This year's version of Delfest just announced an impressive initial lineup. The artist joining host Del McCoury Band at the top of the marquee are The Travelin' McCoury Band, Trey Anastasio Band and Gov't Mule. The remainder of the lineup is littered with talent from Bela Fleck & Chris Thile to The Infamous Stringdusters. 

     The festival will commence from May 25-28 at the Allegany Country Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland. Having gone to so many different festivals that all run together, Delfest should be on every music lovers bucket list for many reasons.      Never sleep on the show the night before New Years Eve, was a theme last night especially from the big five. Umphrey's McGee definitely punished the fans not lucky enough to have tickets every bit as they rewarded the packed Aragon with a absolute heater.       The 11 annual  Gem & Jam Festival will return to Tucson, Arizona between February 3-5. The powers that be have announced that the festival is leaving it's downtown location to a beautiful, desert landscape of Pima County Fairgrounds. 

The Gem & Jam Festival will return for its 11th installment in Tucson, Arizona February 3 – 5. Organizers recently revealed the event would be moved from its downtown urban venue to the beautiful, desert setting of Pima County Fairgrounds. Today organizers have detailed the initial lineup for this year’s Gem & Jam Festival. 

The Floozes, Lotus, Gramatik, and a few S.C.I side projects, Eoto & Friends and The Trancident featuring Klye, Kang, Kyle and the drummer's. Steve Kimock and friends will also be there.
