One of the most recognized names in music festivals will take place August 4-6 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island. The Newport Jazz Festival also released the beginning of this year's talent this historic festival will offer this year. The celebrated festival is off to a good start with Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Snarky Puppy and a supergroup titled Hudson. This band consists of John Scofield, John Medeski, Larry Grenadiar and Jack DeJohnette and has me drooling at the potential of that band alone.
