Last night at Sweetwater in Mill Valley, California Bob Weir payed tribute to his friend and ex-band mate Rob Wasserman. He passed away on June 29th. While he honored his memory in Boulder, Colorado with Dead and Company in the form of an emotional version of the Ratdog staple "Even So". Last night he got a proper musical celebration. 
   Almost every ex member of Ratdog was on hand. Mark Karan and Dave Ellis shared the stage for the first time in years. Other former bandmates included Jay Lane, Steve Kimock, Jeff Chementi, and Robin Sylvester. Other special guests included former collaborator D.J. Logic and Luckas Nelson. Gov't Mule even joined the magic when their earlier concert near had concluded.

   The band played plenty of classics including an emotional"I Shall Be Released". Once Mule joined, a hybrid of the two bands played rousing versions of "Thats what love will make you do" and "Riders on the Storm" among many others. Thanks to Jambase and Jay Blacksberg we have plenty of videos to enjoy of this once on a lifetime event.
