'Dear Jerry: Celebrating the Music of Jerry Garcia' Releases the Tracklist and Players for Each Song on the CD.: Also a video of Grace Potter and Bob Weir singing "Friend of the Devil"

After a series of successful concerts and artistic collaborations, the fruits of the artists' efforts will be available on Oct. 14.

Pre-order for the Dear Jerry concerts and the CD and all sorts of good stuff can be found here.

The concerts were filmed and the two and a half hour video of the shows are available at the same link as above. The concerts showed just how many people loved the music and spirit of Jerry G. One look at the players on the CD tracklist proves it's a world of musicians. They all came together to memorialize a titanic influence and master of the craft they all have become successful doing. Jerry, whether it was through his evocative melodies or road-weary voice that could make you smile through tears, or even the whole Grateful Dead business model, changed the game. By trying to provide the best sound and letting fans tape their shows, the good ole' Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band, proved you could be successful by just playing music. You didn't need a radio hit to have a career. So go order the shows and CD or whatever. I'm sure Jerry wouldn't really care. As Bob Weir sang," Let the words be yours, I'm done with mine"
