JAZZ IS PHSH Annouces National Tour & Album Release

The all-star Phish tribute band, JAZZ IS PHSH, launches an extensive tour in support of their debut album set to be released this spring. Initiating the journey with a special album pre-release show in New York on November 26th(featuring two powerhouse performances in a single day), the group will travel throughout the East Coast, Colorado, and select Western dates yet to be announced. Utilizing an esteemed lineup encompassing both the jazz and jam circuit, the supergrouphonors and reimagines the musical stylings of Phish through an instrumental and improvisational jazz fusion setting.

Featuring a music catalog nearly 30 yearsin the making, the contemporary project has a broad base from which to improvise and a tall order to fill. With an all-star cast, and a rotating lineup including such luminary talent as Jeff CoffinFelix PastoriusChris BullockAdam DotsonJustin StantonCody Wrightand Jay Rodriguez to name a few, there is no doubt the powerhouse band is up for the challenge. Always featuring a rotating cast of characters, the project is known for wowing audiences as it reworks, rejuvenates and re-lives the magic of Phish with a style that is uniquely their own.

JAZZ IS PHSH founders, The Chase Brothers - Matt Chase & Adam Chase

No strangers to the music industry, the project is led by the East Coast-based Chase Brothers, celebrated for their creativity and unparalleled ability to transform a traditional repertoire into a new musical dialog. Their works grace collaborations that include everyone from Aerosmith to KissCrosby Stills and Nash, Derek Trucks, Dicky Betts, Victor Wooten, Oteil Burbridge, Kofi Burbridge as well as members of The James Brown Band to name a few. Together they have shared musical direction in some of their own projects including The James Brown Dance Party, which tours in select markets alongside JAZZ IS PHSH today.

The band will celebrate the pre-release of their forthcoming improvisational album highlighting a spectacular lineup at The Cutting Room in New York City this onNov 26. JAZZ IS PHSH will perform two shows in one night including a mostly seated full performance of the new album before letting their hair down and cutting loose for a lively electric party during the second performance. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets for both performances as their musical foray will vary as much as the legacy of Phish itself.
