SweetWater 420 Festival completed their impressive  Lineup. Jackie Greene, moe., Talib Kweli and a host of new acts join the already stacked Festival. 

 

     Sweetwater Brewing company already had an impressive marquee for the 2017 edition of SweetWater 420 Fest at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The event added a diverse second wave of artist to join the big names revealed earlier. Joining four sets of W.S.P, two sets of T.A.B , Ween and Slightly Stoopid is a bevy of acts with something for every musical pallet. 

 

  Jamband staples moe. and Jackie Greene join a diverse group of acts to join the festival set to take place on April 21-23. Besides the music 420 festival includes many rare beers and interacting with brewers in the SweetWater Experience Tent. Zero will Reunite for One Show at Sweetwater

 

     On December 29th at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California one of the most groundbreaking bands you may have never heard will reunite for one show. "Zero" was formed in 1984 by Steve Kimock and Greg Anton and they quickly became the band to see in the Bay Area. They quickly garnered a loyal following including Jerry Garcia.  Steve and Greg will surround themselves with multi -instrumentalist Pete Sears and bass extraordinaire Bobby Vega for the much anticipated show. You can almost guarantee several special guests from the extended Zero family. My only complaint is that it is only one show. But it will be one magical marvel of an evening.

 Bob Weir's Fundraiser at Sweetwater last night was a Success. Videos and 411 

 

Last night, Bob Weir brought together a huge line-up of amazing talent to raise money for his longtime friend and collaborator John Perry Barlow. Who has suffered over the last 18 months from various ailments that has taken their toll physically and financially.  

   This show was designed to help with the latter as they came together to raise money at Sweetwater, with a glorious night of music. The house band consisted of Steve Kimock, Jeff Chimenti, Robin Sylvester and Wally Ingram. The night was one highlight after another. One glaring example was S.C.I’s Michael Kang, Jason Hann and Michael Travis,  joined by Kimock, Sylvester and Chimenti ,sitting in with  Claypool Lennon Delirium. They all performed an acoustic version of The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows”. This is how the night went with all stars like Jerry Harrison performing a few tunes. 

 The one constant was Bob Weir who opened the night with “Loose Lucy” closed with it with “Cassidy”.  He sat in with most of the artist and was clearly the host. He is doing the only thing he knows how, for his longtime friend and the night certainly reflected that sentiment. Thanks to Jambands we have videos to enjoy:
