Boxx Trilogy CD32/SX32 - Lemming880's Boxx bonanza on the Amiga CD32!

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Lemming880's platformer ' Boxx 2 ' and ' Boxx 3 ' was on the Amiga system, especially with added bright and bold colourful detail. Both of these games were developed using backbone and required you the player to collect as many coins as possible, avoid deadly traps, kill bad bosses and finally reach

In 1990 and onwards the epic scrolling shooter game 'Raiden' by Seibu Kaihatsu, made its appearance on many different systems such as the Atari Falcon, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, DOS(PC), PC Engine and even the PlayStation. In fact there was even a prototype of the game released as a demo on the Commodore Amiga, which sadly never appeared as a full release. But don't get your hopes up too much

In the 1970's Bushnell and another guy called Alcorn released a Pong prototype at a local bar named Andy Capp's Tavern, yet it wasn't until 1975 and through a long history that Pong actually appeared in our homes, and on my very own Atari 2600. Yet fast forward to today in 2017 and here's another release by Genesis Project and development by Nielsf on the C64 'Pong' Aka 'Pong Clone 2017

Super ACE 1942 - TND's SEUCK C64 game inspired by a classic!

In 1984 a great shoot em up was released for the Arcade by Capcom and that game was 1942. A game in which you shoot down enemy planes, avoided being shot out of the sky and performed awesome rolls while collecting power ups. One of the more unusual power ups was being escorted by two other planes in formation that gave you the edge. It was an awesome game and still is today, but thanks The New

As many of you already know John Blythe had turned his attention away from the BBC Micro and Electron, and towards the ZX Spectrum with a new game called ' Foggy's Quest '. Although there's still a long

Only just recently many of us had the pleasure of playing Andy Johns brand new Monty Mole game 'Montys Honey Run'. It was one of Andy's very first games developed using AGD and put you in control of that classic character Monty but on a personal quest to recover some honey pots stolen by Bee's. It is a fantastic ZX Spectrum game to play and impressed us even more so that it was his very first

This is ' Fight Run Preview ' ; a lovely little 2D fighting game that stars up to two players kicking and punching each other until the time runs out.

In Fight Run Preview the first

Boxx 3 - A brand new colourful platformer for the Amiga

It's time to put the Intellision and Vectrex aside and look towards another retro system, as earlier today Lemming880 released his latest Backbone platformer ' Boxx 3 ' for the Commodore Amiga. In this colourful game you play as a green guy who has to collect all the coins, avoid deadly traps, kill nasties and jump from platform to platform to reach the end exit. Once he's done all that, it's

Hera Primera - Juno First clone on the Vectrex looks awesome!

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Vectrex ever since I played one some years ago at the GEEK event in Margate, so you can probably see why I'm just that little bit excited for Peiselulli's latest shoot em up ' Hela Primera ', that is in development for the Vectrex. Now if you've ever played Juno First by Konami in 1983 then you know what to expect with Hela Primera, as this rather cool

The Minstrel’s Legend - Open world RPG making its way to the Intellivision

It is a rare thing to mention an open world game coming to an old 70's machine, but here we are with ' The Minstrel's Legend ', which is a brand new RPG developed by Intv Prime, that is making its way to the Intellivision. If you like games such as the Ultima series or even Nethack, then you probably know what to expect with Intv Prime's latest game, as the game mechanics are similar but

Montys Honey Run - Andy Johns first ZX Spectrum game is here!

Way back in the 1980's Gremlin Graphics released the very first Monty Mole game in the series for the ZX Spectrum and C64. This lovable character that looked like a cross between a human and a mole, star'd in his very own adventure as ' Wanted : Monty Mole ' , which from then on spawned a number of other famous sequels on different 8-bit systems such as Monty on the Run and Auf Wiedersehen

The Darkness of Raven Wood - A very spooky Adventure for BBC Micro and Electron [UPDATE]

It's still Winter but that doesn't stop us from mentioning games that would be more suited to Halloween, especially with Rucksackgames latest 8-bit Adventure ' The Darkness of Raven Wood ' that was only just recently released for the BBC Micro and Electron. In this creepy game set in the year 1862, you are on a quest to find out what has happened to your old childhood friend Raynard, but

Luna 3 - A chaotic blaster on the C64 by Sputnik World!

Another homebrew game has thrust its way into the year 2017, is the recently released ' Luna 3 ' by Sputnik World on the C64, which has also been trainered by our good friends Onslaught. In this game which I would regard as one of the most chaotic shooters I've played for along time, you must blast your way through as many enemies as possible for an ever high score, to make your way to the
