Bomb Jack DX C64 - C64 classic overhauled is looking seriously good
Seeing as my brain hasn't completely shut down I can still remember in the late 80's on my Amstrad CPC 464 playing the brilliant Arcade port ' Bomb Jack '. It is a game that required you the player to high jump and float about getting rid of all the bombs on the screen before they are used to blow up historic places of interest, which is made more difficult by the enemies on screen. It was

Raiden - Atari STe owners get ready for a wicked shooter update!
In 1990 and onwards the epic scrolling shooter game 'Raiden' by Seibu Kaihatsu, made its appearance on many different systems such as the Atari Falcon, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, DOS(PC), PC Engine and even the PlayStation. In fact there was even a prototype of the game released as a demo on the Commodore Amiga, which sadly never appeared as a full release. But don't get your hopes up too much

In the 1970's Bushnell and another guy called Alcorn released a Pong prototype at a local bar named Andy Capp's Tavern, yet it wasn't until 1975 and through a long history that Pong actually appeared in our homes, and on my very own Atari 2600. Bomberman Cx - Play as Black Bomberman and more in this great NES hack!
When I was growing up there was a game I used to love playing with friends, whereby your task was to drop bombs and either blow up other enemies or your very best friend(s) in a maze like game screen. That game was Bomberman also known as Dynablaster, which was actually first released way back in 1983 by Hudson Soft and then published by Konami. It was and still is a fantastic game that can

Hera Primera - Juno First clone on the Vectrex looks awesome!
I have a bit of a soft spot for the Vectrex ever since I played one some years ago at the GEEK event in Margate, so you can probably see why I'm just that little bit excited for Peiselulli's latest shoot em up ' Hela Primera ', that is in development for the Vectrex. Now if you've ever played Juno First by Konami in 1983 then you know what to expect with Hela Primera, as this rather cool

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza! - Another great looking 80's beat em up! (Early Access)
Just recently I gave you the heads up for Zvitor and Maru's rather cool looking beat em up ' Marvel Infinity War ', which was developed using OpenBOR and made available for the PC. But now it's time to move away from Marvel and look towards those hugely popular characters 'The Teenage Mutant Turtles'. Once again using OpenBOR and again a beat em up, this one is called ' Teenage Mutant Ninja

Playing in a similar style to that of Rad Racer with a flavour of

Easter Egg - Enjoyable high grade platformer updated for the Amiga
The games just keep on coming and more so Amiga ones, as Per-Ola Eriksson has contacted us about a rather lovely looking game called Easter Egg that has been updated for 2016. Developed in backbone with soundtrack by Andrzej Drozd and graphics by Czeslaw Mnich, Easter Egg is an enjoyable yet challenging 2D arcade game where you play as the role of a chick through 31 levels, collecting eggs and
Barbarian - A head chopping review on the ZX Spectrum
As it's Christmas, what better to celebrate the festivities by looking at a game where the main character looks like Jesus? Albeit with rather large sword in hand rather than that bread he made once. Not only is the Jesus reference valid, but also what better way to relate to Christmas than with a bit of violence? There's always a war film on at Christmas, a Bond film or failing that,
