Raiden - Atari STe owners get ready for a wicked shooter update!
In 1990 and onwards the epic scrolling shooter game 'Raiden' by Seibu Kaihatsu, made its appearance on many different systems such as the Atari Falcon, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, DOS(PC), PC Engine and even the PlayStation. In fact there was even a prototype of the game released as a demo on the Commodore Amiga, which sadly never appeared as a full release. But don't get your hopes up too much

Super ACE 1942 - TND's SEUCK C64 game inspired by a classic!
In 1984 a great shoot em up was released for the Arcade by Capcom and that game was 1942. A game in which you shoot down enemy planes, avoided being shot out of the sky and performed awesome rolls while collecting power ups. One of the more unusual power ups was being escorted by two other planes in formation that gave you the edge. It was an awesome game and still is today, but thanks The New

Latest 2016 SEUCK Compo Entry - Border Blast 3 Review
2016 wasn't all bad news and Brexit... Commodore 64 saw some of its finest releases with the likes of Barnsley Badger, Tiger Claw, and The Bear Essentials giving all of us plenty of reasons to fire up our hardware and emulators. And even those without coding experience are able to get involved, as The New Dimension have even been running another Shootemup Construction Kit (SEUCK) competition.

Hera Primera - Juno First clone on the Vectrex looks awesome!
I have a bit of a soft spot for the Vectrex ever since I played one some years ago at the GEEK event in Margate, so you can probably see why I'm just that little bit excited for Peiselulli's latest shoot em up ' Hela Primera ', that is in development for the Vectrex. Now if you've ever played Juno First by Konami in 1983 then you know what to expect with Hela Primera, as this rather cool

Luna 3 - A chaotic blaster on the C64 by Sputnik World!
Another homebrew game has thrust its way into the year 2017, is the recently released ' Luna 3 ' by Sputnik World on the C64, which has also been trainered by our good friends Onslaught. In this game which I would regard as one of the most chaotic shooters I've played for along time, you must blast your way through as many enemies as possible for an ever high score, to make your way to the

EgoWings - An Amiga shoot em up featured again in updated footage
In November of last year we gave you the heads up of a new shoot em up in development by Javier Alcaniz with music by Carlos Del Alamo, that featured multiple waves of ships to destroy, land based objects to blow up with big explosions, and dark lifeless landscapes. Well that same game which has been in development for the last few years has been teased again but this time with better

Cybernoid CD32 Compilation - A pre 2017 treat on the Amiga CD32 by Hungry Horace
When I was contacted by Earok earlier today, I just knew a new Amiga CD32 release was coming, and sure enough here we have the ' Cybernoid CD32 Compilation ' by Hungry Horace. These are two fantastic games on the Amiga and more especially the first one Cybernoid, as it was first released way back in 1987 by Hewson Consultants for the Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum and later the Amiga. In fact

EgoWings - Alpha footage of a new Shoot em up on the Amiga
During these last few years Javier Alcaniz with music by Carlos Del Alamo has been hard at work on a brand new Shoot em up in development for the Amiga, with specifications only requiring an Amiga 500 (1meg). Although the screenshot above doesn't look like much, the video shows off a good glimpse of the game in action, with decent enough landscapes, enemy waves and lots of blasting to be done.

vecZ - A new Vectrex Shoot Em Up and this one looks good!
The 1982-83 vector display-based home video game console was and still is a seriously cool bit of kit. It is a system that not only fetches a high price, but when one appears for sale, it is usually snapped up by drooling gamers desperate to have one in their ever growing collection. So you can probably see why I'm just a little bit excited over La1n's new game ' vecZ ', which is a new Shoot
