An amazing heads up by Ocean Software Ltd for the speccy as the scrapped ZX Spectrum version of ' Total Recall ' has once again seen the light of day and made playable. According to World of Spectrum this game was originally given to a programmer by the name of Paul Houbart, but progress was so bad even after the demo, the Christmas 1990 deadline would never be met and it was handed over to a

SpongeBog Demo - The wackiest C64 tune you'll hear all week!
As you know Indie Retro News prides itself on mentioning games, teasers and compilations, but the latest C64 SpongeBog Demo by Max of Flat 3 Hackers was just too good to miss. This is one of the wackiest and most upbeat tunes I've heard on the C64 by far, and apparently the music is related to the catchy tune playing at the Spongebob Arcade Machine, which is located at Planet Fun, Ingoldmells.

Alex Kidd 2 - Curse In Miracle World - SMS Demo Hack looks seriously cool!
In 1987 Sega released the great side-scrolling platform game ' Alex Kidd ' for the Sega Master System console. For anyone that has played that great game, will be pleased to know Yeti Bomar (aka Watain) has released the Alex

X'2016 - The C64 had one hell of a demoparty!
There is nothing more satisfying than being at a demo party, listening to some fine tunes and seeing the best demo's that each retro machine has to offer. Yet this year at the X'2016 in the Netherlands for the C64, it was one hell of an incredible event, celebrated with demo's, graphics and music that blew even my mind. In fact during the competition results, there were 21 demos, 28 musical

Throughout this week a few previews had appeared that didn't really take to my fancy, but one such C64 game called Red Baron 3000 Preview, took me completely by surprise. Released by Onslaught earlier on today, Red Baron 3000 is a top scrolling shooter with very impressive graphical effects and simultaneous music and sfx. According to GTW, this game was by Hein Holt who was inspired by the

The Atari ST and the Creative People: Anthology - An awesome Atari ST Kickstarter Campaign
While the crowdfunding platforms are being flooded with projects for retrocomputing greats such as the C64, Spectrum and Amiga, the scene has been a little light on products for the Humble Atari ST. Seemingly unloved by people targeting the frothing hoards of Amiga fans the ST has been getting a short shrift of memorabilia to drop your wad on. Well Marco A. Breddin wants to change that with
