Austin City Limits Music Festival manages to slip under the radar with an absurdly good lineup for two weekends in October.

This year's Austin City Music Festival may have not gotten all the attention of Desert Trip or the jam-heavy Lock'n Festival. However, this festival, held over two weekends, may be the most diverse and interesting festival this year.

The eclectic mix of artists is sure to cover any person's taste. The fact that it is held over two consecutive weekends provide the convenience of a concert so you don't have to camp out for days like Bonnaroo.  Like Bonnaroo though, they are showcasing the return of LCD Soundsystem, one of the the best dance bands in the country next to the folk/country sounds of Mumford & Sons. The big headliner is the, fresh off a new album release" Radiohead. Consistently one of the best live shows in music, it's hard to believe I first saw them in 1997 with REM.   Other bands on the bill include, the always popular festival draw, Band of Horses. If you feel like getting your electronica on you have M83 or Major Lazer to pick from. The alt darlings Local Natives will be playing as well as the just plain darling, just don't say that to their face, Haim. Also, any music fan's bucket list should include seeing Willie Nelson in Austin,TX. By the way, for any CO fans out there, Willie's dispensary is hiring extractors and accountants and a couple of other positions if you're in need of a good employer. The music of Foals and Two Door CInema Club are also high up on my list but no matter what your taste in music, if you appreciate a beat and masterful, beautiful lyrics from an honest source, you cannot miss Kendrick Lamar. His new album, "To Pimp a Butterfly" has found itself on almost all the "best of" lists of 2016.
To close, this festival has something for everyone. From the majesty of Radiohead to the beats of LCD Soundsystem and the tour de force of Mumford & Sons, this festival has everything and located in the town of Austin, you're guaranteed to have a good time.  Oh, did I mention freakin' LL Cool J is gonna be there? However, the further you go down the lineup the more likely you are to find your favorite band. So don't miss out. Three day tickets have sold out so you better get on it if you wanna get in to see these bands. The individual day schedules are out so you can find which one tickles your fancy and get in. You may have to buy one day tickets for each day to see all these amazing acts. Move quick!!
