The Dead and Company continue the impossible summer with a grand slam at Fenway Park.
The Dead and Company armed with this summer secret weapon, Donna Jean played to masterful sets at historic Fenway Friday Night. A loose jam exploded into "Jack Straw" and the band was off and running. A "Music Never Stopped" gave way to the second version of "Next Time You See Me" . Then things got real fucking serious. Look at that Setlist! I just got back from String Cheese and just now watching it.
12 hours and a few less brain cells later.
All I can say is what a long fucking strange trip it is.... This Band can do no wrong. They have the youth on key instruments and experience in spades and poof they became a band and the results are simply breathtaking. Do I think they should write new material? Yes. Do I think they are the best post Jerry bands since the Q and The original Other Ones? I know they are! Just listen to this magnificent second set.
