Gov't Mule and moe. Exchange Covers During The Mini Festival That Broke Out At Red Rocks Last Night. Setlists, Recaps, Audio and Video Clips.
moe. joined Gov't Mule and Blackberry Smoke on tour last night for a miniature festival vibe as the three bands combined for a mind blowing evening of music at Red Rocks. Blackberry Smoke started the evening with an impressive set of originals and timeless classics. They weaved their impressive songs around covers of "Ramble On Rose" and Led Zeppelin's " Your time is going to Come" that more than got the party started.
moe. was up next and did not disappoint with a rousing set of coveted jam vehicles. In a gesture that Gov't Mule returned when they covered moe.'s "Opium" later in the evening, moe. played "Thorazine Shuffle" for the first time since 2012. They ended their impressive set with "Billy Goat".
Gov't Mule closed the party with a set that had something to please everyone. From "Soulshine" to Pink Floyd covers Warren had the historic Amphitheater under his thumb for the remainder of the night.
The encore had members from all three bands as they performed a touching rendition of Dylan's"I Shall Be Released". Between last night and Jerry Garcia's Symphonic Celebration, Warren Haynes' has owned Red Rocks this summer. Thanks to Jambase enjoy moe.'s set on audio and several videos from last night.
