STS9 Just Announced An Extensive Fall Tour In Support Of Their New Album Dropping September 2nd, "The Universe Inside". Get Details and Tour Dates Here.
Jamtronica pioneers STS9 have massive plans to wrap up 2016 in style. They have a new album dropping September 2nd called "The Universe Inside" and today they announced a huge Fall Tour to support it.
On their website they describe the new release with the following statement.
"We are pleased to announce STS9’s new album, The Universe Inside, will be available in full on September 2nd - pre-order the album now on iTunes or 1320Records, and instantly download the album opener "Supercluster” and the first single “Get Loud”.

20 years before the emergence of STS9, NASA sent Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 on a mission to the farthest reaches of the solar system and beyond. Each of these probes was equipped with identical Golden Records, with special messages attached to what Carl Sagan called “a bottle launched into the cosmic ocean.” They contained numerous images and sounds from throughout the world, pieces of music from various cultures, a map identifying the location of our planet, and other information for whomever, or whatever, might find them...

While the Golden Records included greetings in 59 languages, they made no mention of nations and borders, wars and rivalries, or anything else that divides us. What they did mention was life, love, peace, birth--the things that bind us to one another and to the planet we call home...
"We are one, made from dust of the stars / down here we bear the weight of the pain and the scars / just want to live with nothing to hide / every one of us a universe inside."
STS9 still have some epic shows on the horizon before Fall Tour Starts. They have an intimate show coming up Friday at The Tabernacle on Friday night. Then they have a special 3 set performance in Atlanta at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater which includes a rare "Axe The Cables" Set.
The Fall tour will take STS9 to cities they have not performed in for a long time. Memphis will definitely be ready for a hometown show. STS9 fan base has not been this excited in a decade. I think it's safe to say STS9 2.0 is beautiful music and the future is burning bright.
