Such a long, long time to be gone and short time to be there....

Today is the anniversary of the Soldier Field concert that was the last official Grateful Dead show. Although many have tried no one group has succeeded in making the impact that Jerry Garcia did. John Mayer was quoted as saying, " I realize now how talented Jerry was to be able to do what he did" and that is putting it lightly. Dead & Company  tonight encored with "Knockin on Heaven's Door"  I can't help but think that's why they played it tonight.  We here at Grateful Music all miss the man, the music, and the event that was the Grateful Dead.
