Catskill Chill 2016 "New Minglewood" Preview

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. A great line by The Who that sums up this edition of Catskill Chill. Many small festivals when faced with losing the venue fold, but they went and found another beautiful camp! The organizers have simply shifted the entire event a little bit southwest and added a couple twists. The VIP packages have a lot more goodies and there is now a Thursday night pre party. What has not changed and will never change is the fact that nowhere else can you spend a weekend with 5,000 of the best people possible. "Chillfam" is a real thing, long before it became a hash tag.
The collaborations are back with 5 huge sets featuring Dopakuaz Does Yacht Rock, Bitches Bloom: A Tribute to Miles Davis, Pink Talking Fu: Prince Bowie, Partiwerks = Particle + The Werks, and Chillfam All-stars play Michael Jackson

My top acts to see:
1. Twiddle - Every time they play Chill it is always the one of if not the most fun set of the weekend. This includes originals, and their "Dead" sets. Two sets at the first ever pre party has the potential to be one for the ages.
2. TAUK - They blow me away every time I see them
3. Electron - Always fun up beat set, and they throw in a lot of Floyd for me
4. G-Nome Project - Nonstop prog/funk jamming from Israel
5. Perpetual Groove - The name describes what you get from them
6. ShwiKus Beatles set - This has the promise to be the party set of the weekend
