Today in Grateful Dead History, They Busted Out Some Songs that Became All Time Classics. AUD link to archive.org

Today back in 1970 at the Fillmore West, several songs were played for the first time that became standards and are known by even the most lackadaisical deadhead.

There is a decent audio copy on archive and it's listenable but what really makes this show special is the appearance of several new songs. At this show is the first ever "Truckin'", the first "Operator", as well as the first "Brokedown Palace" and the first "Ripple" for god's sake! To me, that makes this show historic. Add a smoking "It's a Man's Man' World to a hot "Dancing in the Streets" and a good "Other One" and you have a hot show. The AUD source is listenable, especially for the time.  This was the time of the Acoustic, NRPS, Electric sets.  In fact, I think it's a pretty good AUD tape.

This was part of the Evening with The Grateful Dead that was one acoustic set then a full set by NRPS with/ Jerry on slide and a third set of electric Dead. This show gets beat up on because it's an AUD but I think besides a few spots, it's historic value far outweighs the sound of clapping.
